Specialty Pallets
These pallets are manufactured to your specification and are more consistent and uniform than a recycled pallet. These pallets use a combination of recycled components and new components. Most “combo” or “hybrid” pallets use recycled deck boards and new stringers, although any combination is possible. This option can be a viable solution for cost reduction while meeting specific engineering requirements that can only be achieved with the use of new stringer material.
Certified Heat-Treated Pallets
Heat Treatment of solid wood products main purpose is to prevent international transport and spread of disease and insects that could negatively affect plants or ecosystems. For businesses that plan on shipping to countries that are a part of the United Nations, you’ll want to ensure you have a trustworthy, certified source for heat-treated pallets. A treaty from the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) requires that all solid wood packaging (i.e. pallets, crates & dunnage) must be heat-treated or fumigated before being imported into any member country.
